Kahlil Gibran 1883-1931 Poet, philosopher, and artist, was born in Lebanon, a land that has produced many prophets. His poetry has been translated into more than twenty languages. The Chicago Post said of The Prophet: "Cadenced and vibrant with feeling, the words of Kahlil Gibran bring to one's ears the majestic rhythm of Ecclesiastes."
Gibran manages to impart great spiritual truths without being preachy or condescending. These are three of twenty-eight short pieces; more will appear here periodically.
